CYLINDER WITH POSITION TRANSDUCER
The cylinder with position transducer system of the POT series are pneumatic actuators under ISO 15552 standard equipped with a linear potentiometer integrated into the cylinder.
- This device allows the position of the stem to be detected with great accuracy during its movement throughout the entire stroke by correlating the electrical signal at the output in the extended position.
- In the standard configuration, the output signal is in voltage, but at the request of the actuator it can be equipped with signal converters for stabilization in current or voltage.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CORRECT OPERATION
1) The potentiometer inside the cylinder must be used as a voltage divider and not as a variable resistor, so it must be connected to a high impedance input device (normally a potentiometer input to a PLC).
2) The potentiometer, for its movement, uses a "magnetic" type operating principle that allows absolute isolation of the cylinder's working fluid itself. However, the acceleration must not exceed the admissible value of 10 m/s2 to avoid dissociation between the elements that transmit the movement to the sensitive element of the transducer.
3) The standard stroke (indicated in the code) allows optimal use of the equipment's potentiometer. If it is necessary to use a stroke less than the nominal one, it must be kept in mind that the output signal cannot be fully exploited. Example: If a stroke of 125 mm is used (the sensor has a standard stroke of 150 mm) and the applied voltage is 10 volts, for example, the signal to use will be 5/6 (8.3 volts)
