FLUIDIFICATION PLATE
Fluidization plates are elements that are placed in tanks and silos to prevent the product from sticking and to prevent the formation of bridges (rat holes) through vibration through compressed air.
Thanks to the semi-convex shape of the I100 fluidization plates made of durable polymer, air is emitted at a wide angle. For placement and determination of the number of plates required, consult the technical sheet.
Technical characteristics and assembly:
- Operating pressure: 0.2 bar (3 PSI).
- Air consumption: 0.12 m3/h (0.07 cfm) at 0.2 bar (2.9 PSI) continuously.
- Weight including packing box: 250 g (0.55 lbs).
- Adapted for cement, lime and similar powdery materials.

Operation of Fluidization Plates
Fluidization equipment is used as a preventive measure. A variety of materials will demonstrate perfect overall flow as a given amount of air is added at regular intervals during discharge from the hopper or silo. With I100 fluidization plates the action is smooth (operating pressure = 0.2 bar).
The air-enriched material gains the desired fluidity. At the same time, potential problems such as bridging, rat holes, lumps or deposits are prevented. Installed at the first level of a silo, the I100 fluidization plates are widely used for materials such as cement.
They can be placed in a more sophisticated way, i.e. at several levels and acting alternately for lime, for example in storage and dosing facilities where fluidization is used not only during the discharge of material from the silo but also to maintain the material in motion during long periods of storage.
Long-term field experience with I100 fluidizing plates operating at intermittent pulse (Pulse-Jet and Felder systems) has shown that virtually all powdery materials can be successfully fluidized. For food applications we recommend the use of the type VB aero-vibrator
