A nickel-plated brass nut and bicone fitting is a component used in piping, calibrated and connection systems to join two elements, such as nylon, polyamide, polyurethane, PTFE, steel, dekabon copper tubes, etc., in a safe and airtight manner. The fitting consists of a nut, also made of brass, that is screwed onto the threaded end of a tube joined with an oval or bicone, and is generally used together with a washer, in case the thread is cylindrical to ensure adequate sealing.
The nickel-plated brass nut and bicone fitting is tightened manually or with a suitable tool, such as a wrench, to create a tight connection that is resistant to liquid or gas leakage. They are made of nickel-plated brass UNI-EN 12164CWG14N. Good resistance to working pressure and temperature. Conical thread 1507 - DIN 2999 and cylindrical ISO 228. Max. pressure. working pressure 110 bar up to Ø 8 mm, 60 bar
Nut and bicone fittings are common in pneumatic, hydraulic and industrial piping systems and most water and gas supply systems. They are available in different sizes from diameter 4 to 18 and various thread types to adapt to the specific needs of each application.
